In this work, we examined the regeneration and reactivation of a filter material used in a water purification solution for phosphorus recovery developed by the customer. We designed test series and test methods, which were then used to test the functionality of the regeneration, e.g. phosphorus binding capacity, bound phosphorus recovery capacity and product safety in terms of soluble harmful substances. In addition, follow-up measures were planned for the customer to further develop the solution and its safety.
